What is an excess?

If an excess applies to a claim it means that you need to pay the stated amount towards the claim per person, per event and per applicable section. For example, if you have a covered claim for $500 and an excess of $100 applies to the cover you are claiming under, you will only receive $400 in settlement of the claim. What is a Gold Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance policy?

You can choose from three duration brackets for the maximum length of any one trip:

  • 30 days per trip

  • 60 days per trip

Important notes:

  • Domestic travel: This policy does not cover domestic trips within Australia. For domestic coverage, please purchase a separate Domestic Travel Insurance Policy.
