Which options to select in destinations for visiting any country?

Our policies offer different destination brackets, allowing you some flexibility if your itinerary changes whilst overseas. The destination brackets are as follows:

International trips:

  • The South Pacific: American Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji Islands, French Polynesia (including Tahiti), Kiribati, New Caledonia, Niue, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea (Bali and Lombok are included in the Pacific).
  • Asia: Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam only.
  • Worldwide excluding: Worldwide excluding USA, Canada, Mexico, Central & South America and Antarctica.
  • Worldwide including: Worldwide including USA, Canada, Mexico, Central & South America.

Cruise specific destinations:

  • Pacific: The South Pacific: American Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji Islands, French Polynesia (including Tahiti), Kiribati, New Caledonia, Niue, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea.
  • Worldwide*** excluding North and South America and Antarctica: Worldwide excluding USA, Canada, Mexico, Central & South America and Antarctica.
  • Worldwide*** including North and South America and Antarctica: Worldwide including USA, Canada, Mexico, Central & South America and Antarctica (cruises only).
  • Asia: Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam only.
  • Domestic: Domestic cruises within Australian Territorial waters or International waters, providing you do not stop at any International port.
  • Pacific and Domestic: Cruises that include any Pacific destination, NZ or Bali and docks at any Australian port after departure.
  • Asia and Domestic: Cruises that include any Asia destination and docks at any Australian port after departure.

PLEASE NOTE that we do not cover any claims directly or indirectly related to travelling through, from and to the following countries: 

Afghanistan, Belarus, Central African Republic, Congo (Democratic Republic of the), Crimea, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk People's Region, Cuba, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Iraq, Korea (Democratic People's Republic of), Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Myanmar, Russian Federation, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Ukraine, Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of), and Yemen.

Are my details secured if I purchase online?

Yes, all your personal and payment details are encrypted before they are transmitted so your information is safe from prying eyes. This can be confirmed by the appearance of a padlock icon which can be found either in the address bar or on the status bar of your Internet browser.

 

I am having trouble paying online. Can you help me?

Please check you have submitted all your payment details accurately; this includes the full card number, the correct expiry date and the 3-digit security code. This is the last three digits on the back of the card at the end of the signature strip, if you paying with American Express the security code is often the 4-digits on the front of the card.
If you are still having problems processing your payment, please contact us.

What are my cancellation rights?

All InsureandGo Australia policies^ include a 14-day cooling-off period. If you contact us within 14 days of purchasing this insurance then you are entitled to a full refund providing that you have not claimed on the policy^ or commenced your trip. If you cancel after this 14 days period, we will refund you a proportion of the premium for the outstanding period of cover less any government charges and taxes that we cannot recover. How is my policy delivered?

We can deliver your policy^ by e-mail. We can also send you your policy details in a text message to your mobile phone. The e-mailed documents can take up to 5 minutes to arrive in your inbox.

Do you provide cover for Natural Disasters?

Yes, we offer cover for additional emergency expenses you may incur as a result of a natural disaster provided you pay an additional fee to be covered. This additional fee to be covered for these events is applicable under all levels of cover and the amount you can claim varies depending on the level of cover you choose. Please note that if you do not pay this fee you will not be covered for natural disaster. This optional add on can be selected at the end of quotation just before making a payment online or if doing it over the phone our agent will ask you if you wish to add it onto your policy. Whilst you may not be covered for natural disaster if you fail to add on the optional add on, you will still be covered for medical expenses incurred as a result of a natural disaster.

Can I Buy Travel Insurance From You if I'm currently overseas?

Unfortunately, it is a condition of our policies that you must be in Australia at the time of purchasing.
