Which countries do we cover?

We cover the following countries:

The South Pacific: American Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji Islands, French Polynesia (including Tahiti), Kiribati, New Caledonia, Niue, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea.

Asia: Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia (including Bali and Lombok), Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam only.

Worldwide excluding: Worldwide excluding USA, Canada, Mexico, Central & South America and Antarctica.

Worldwide including: Worldwide including USA, Canada, Mexico, Central & South America.

PLEASE NOTE that we do not cover any claims directly or indirectly related to travelling through, from and to the following countries: 

Afghanistan, Belarus, Central African Republic, Congo (Democratic Republic of the), Crimea, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk People's Region, Cuba, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Iraq, Korea (Democratic People's Republic of), Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Myanmar, Russian Federation, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Ukraine, Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of), and Yemen.

How to add extra cover for valuables?

You can add additional cover for valuables under our specified valuables cover for an extra premium in our gold level of cover. The maximum you can insure additional specified valuables is $4,000.00.

Extra cover can only be added over the phone, so please contact us on 1300 552 701.

Do you cover stolen goods?

Yes, our policies do offer cover for theft of items.

Please note if you have valuables, our Silver and Gold policy include Valuables cover. Please refer to the Product Wording Documents for the definition of valuables to determine whether this is suitable for you. If eligible, you may be able to pay an additional premium to cover valuables up to $4,000.00.

Do you cover martial arts?

Yes, we do cover you for Medical Expenses, Personal Accidents and Personal Liability for Martial Arts training only. Please keep in mind, if you are injured whilst partaking in this activity you will need to pay an excess of $500 per claim. 

In addition, there is no cover for personal accident and personal liability. Personal accident is a lump sum compensation for death or permanent disability and Personal Liability is the amount you become liable to pay if you injure someone accidentally or damage their property.

Do you cover driving a moped?

Yes, driving a moped is covered for medical expenses. However, certain conditions do apply.

If you are riding or driving a moped under 125cc, you must have a license valid for driving that type of vehicle in the country you are travelling in and wearing a helmet as a driver or passenger.

If the type of vehicle is over 125cc, you must have a license valid for driving that type of vehicle in the country you are travelling in and have a valid license to ride this type of vehicle in Australia. In addition, as a driver or passenger, you need to wear a helmet.

Do you cover electronic devices?

Cover for electronic devices is available in our Silver and Gold levels of cover.

Our Silver level of coverage is up to $2000.00 and our Gold level of coverage is $3,000.00 for electronic devices.

Please refer to the policy wording documents for information on the electronic sub-limit cover.

Do you cover motorcycling?

Yes. Under our InsureandGo One-Trip policies, we cover you for any unforeseen and accidental accident/injury you may sustain whilst motorcycling.

Please note that conditions do apply to this cover and are as follows:

You may be covered if you make a claim arising from the use of a two-wheeled or three-wheeled motor vehicle if:

Please note that different excess amounts apply depending on the cylinder capacity that you are driving.

Also, in the event of death or permanent disability (as a driver or passenger using a motorbike), you will not be covered under Personal Accident and Personal Liability.

Is IVF covered under the pregnancy cover?

Yes. We cover natural and IVF-assisted pregnancies under our international travel insurance policies

We provide cover for pregnancy and childbirth up to the end of the 30th week of pregnancy if you're expecting one baby, and up to the end of the 20th week if you're expecting more than one baby.

Complications of pregnancy are covered full-term. Please check page 49 for more information on complications of pregnancy and childbirth.

To clarify, no cover is available for children who are born overseas during your trip.

Do you cover missed flight?

No. Our policies do not cover missed flights or any claims as a result of missing connecting flights.

How do you cover laptops?

In our Silver and Gold policies, we offer cover for electronic devices but limits do apply to this cover. Under Silver, you can claim up to $2,000.00 and under Gold, up to $3,000.00.
