Do you cover martial arts?

Yes, we do cover you for Medical Expenses, Personal Accidents and Personal Liability for Martial Arts training only. Please keep in mind, if you are injured whilst partaking in this activity you will need to pay an excess of $500 per claim. 

In addition, there is no cover for personal accident and personal liability. Personal accident is a lump sum compensation for death or permanent disability and Personal Liability is the amount you become liable to pay if you injure someone accidentally or damage their property.

Do you cover driving a moped?

Yes, driving a moped is covered for medical expenses. However, certain conditions do apply.

If you are riding or driving a moped under 125cc, you must have a license valid for driving that type of vehicle in the country you are travelling in and wearing a helmet as a driver or passenger.

If the type of vehicle is over 125cc, you must have a license valid for driving that type of vehicle in the country you are travelling in and have a valid license to ride this type of vehicle in Australia. In addition, as a driver or passenger, you need to wear a helmet.

Do you cover electronic devices?

Cover for electronic devices is available in our Silver and Gold levels of cover.

Our Silver level of coverage is up to $2000.00 and our Gold level of coverage is $3,000.00 for electronic devices.

Do you cover motorcycling?

Yes. Under our InsureandGo One-Trip policies, we cover you for any unforeseen and accidental accident/injury you may sustain whilst motorcycling.

Please note that conditions do apply to this cover and are as follows:

Please note that different excess amounts apply depending on the cylinder capacity that you are driving.

Also, in the event of death or permanent disability (as a driver or passenger using a motorbike), you will not be covered under Personal Accident and Personal Liability.

Is IVF covered under the pregnancy cover?

Yes. We cover natural and IVF-assisted pregnancies under our international travel insurance policies

We provide cover for pregnancy and childbirth up to the end of the 30th week of pregnancy if you're expecting one baby, and up to the end of the 20th week if you're expecting more than one baby.

Complications of pregnancy are covered full-term. Please check page 49 for more information on complications of pregnancy and childbirth.

To clarify, no cover is available for children who are born overseas during your trip.

Do you cover missed flight?

No. Our policies do not cover missed flights or any claims as a result of missing connecting flights.

How do you cover laptops?

In our Silver and Gold policies, we offer cover for electronic devices but limits do apply to this cover. Under Silver, you can claim up to $2,000.00 and under Gold, up to $3,000.00.

Will I be covered for medical expenses if I'm going on a helicopter

All our international policies provide cover for medical expenses due to an unforeseen accident, illness or injury whilst going on a helicopter. However, you need to ensure that the helicopter ride is with a commercial operator, is available to the general public, not considered an extreme risk and does not require special skills or a high level of fitness to undertake.

Please keep in mind that personal accident or personal liability cover is not available for this activity. Please refer to the policy wording documents for more information.

What if our helicopter tour is cancelled due to poor weather?

Tour cancellations for the operator/tour company are not covered through InsureandGo.

How do you cover delayed baggage?

Delayed baggage is an inclusion in our Silver and Gold policies. If your baggage is delayed for more than 24 hours, we will provide cover for the reasonable cost of essential items. The amount you can claim is up to $500 on Silver and $750 on Gold.

Please note there is no cover under this section if your baggage is delayed on your final inward journey returning home.

We will pay up to the amount shown in the Table of benefits for the reasonable cost of buying essential items whilst your baggage is not in your possession if your baggage is delayed by an airline or transport company during your trip for more than 8 hours

Sub-limits are applicable depending on your level of cover and the length of time that your luggage is delayed. The sub-limits are specified in the Table of Benefits in PDS.
