If you’re going away for a while, there’s no need to worry – our policies can cover trips of up to 12 months in length, leaving you plenty of time to visit the four corners of the globe. For longer trips, our backpacker travel insurance covers you for up to 18 months.

Most Common Questions
1. I am an international student, am I covered?
Our policies can cover non-permanent residents who have a valid Medicare, Private Health Fund or Overseas Student Travel Insurance in Australia which must be valid for the entire duration of your holiday. If you would like to discuss the eligibility criteria in more details please feel free to contact us.
3. I am volunteering overseas. Is this covered?
Unfortunately our policies excludes any claims relating to humanitarian work and related travel.
5. Do you cover flight delays after departure?
Under the InsureandGo Silver and Gold levels of cover, we will reimburse the cost of your necessary additional meals and accommodation expenses, if during a trip, any individual leg of your trip, is delayed for more than 12 hours.
The amount you can claim varies depending on the level of cover that you have purchased with us. Please refer to the policy wording documents for more information.
2. Do you offer partial refunds if I come home early?
Unfortunately we do not offer any partial refund on our policies should you return early.
4. I am overseas right now – can I buy, change or upgrade a policy?
You need to be in Australia at the time of purchasing your insurance. If you are overseas, we are unable to offer you new or different insurance. You may be eligible to extend the dates of your existing cover, so shoot us an email and find out.
6. I’m taking out the top cover, am I covered for anything that can go wrong on my trip?
Our premiums would be astronomical if we could do that! There are limits and exclusions to all travel insurance policies, so we strongly advise you to read our product disclosure statement (or search [ctrl+F] for key words to check limits and exclusions) to see if our product is right for you.
