How to change the name and other details for existing policy?

If any details on an existing policy^ need to be amended, you must contact our Customer Service Team and seek the help of a customer service representative to confirm the changes.

How can I renew an existing policy?

AMT polices^ can be renewed / repurchased on our website at your convenience. Note that purchasing a new policy^ is how you “renew” your expired policy^. You can also contact us by phone to purchase a new policy^.

How can I extend my policy whilst I am already away?

We get it, holiday plans can change. If you have commenced your trip and you would like to extend your policy^, you can contact our customer service department and they will help you with this. Please keep in mind that policies can only be extended once after your trip has started.

Am I covered to take part in hazardous sports and activities?

InsureandGo travel insurance includes coverage for over 90 sports and activities at no additional cost, including a range of hazardous activities such as bungee jumping and snorkeling.

Please check the Table of Covered Sports & Activities section of the Combined Product Disclosure Statement and Policy Wording Booklets for full details of the covered sports and activities.

Please note that the standard excess may vary depending on your chosen activity.

Am I covered for scuba diving when I go travelling?

Scuba diving is covered automatically on all our international travel insurance policies if you are qualified, you will be diving no deeper than 30 meters and you will be accompanied by another diver at all times.

If you are not a qualified scuba diver but are diving with an instructor you will be covered providing you dive no deeper than 30 meters.

Please be advised that there is no cover under any InsureandGo policy for personal accidents and personal liability relating to Scuba Diving.

Am I covered for Motorcycling when I go travelling?

InsureandGo can provide cover for motorcycling, provided you wear a crash helmet at all times and you have a valid licence to ride the motorcycle in the country you are visiting. If the engine size is 125cc or over, you must also have a valid licence to drive an equivalent-rated vehicle in Australia.

Please keep in mind that the standard excess is $250 for a motorcycle with an engine size 125cc or less and $500 for over 125 cc.

Cover is only available for motorcycling given the following circumstances;

  • As the driver, you follow the safety guidelines for the activity concerned and where applicable, you use the appropriate and recommended safety equipment

  • As a passenger, you are wearing a crash helmet at all times

  • The activity is not part of a competition or tournament and the activity is not on a professional basis.

Am I covered for trekking when I go travelling?

InsureandGo can provide medical expenses cover whilst trekking up to a maximum of 5000 meters. Between 3000 and 5000 meters you must be with a Commercially operating company, which is available to the general public and not considered an extreme risk. Stunts are not covered.

Please note that cover is only available for included activities where:

  • You follow the safety guidelines for the activity concerned and where applicable, you use the appropriate and recommended safety equipment;
  • The activity is not part of a competition or tournament; and
  • The activity is not on a professional basis.
Do you cover mountain rescue?

Mountain rescue is an event we cover in our policy provided you have the appropriate Winter Sports package and the rescue is for a medically necessary reason in an emergency. Please note that InsureandGo does not cover mountain rescue if it is for the purpose of search and rescue.

Do you provide travel insurance cover for a whole season?

Our One-trip policies can cover trips of up to 12 months in duration and the Winter Sports add-on is available for this duration as well. Please keep in mind if you are aged 66 or over, we can only provide cover for a single-trip up to 90 days.
