See step by step guide to replace a lost passport
- Contact the nearest Australian Consultat or Embassy office in that country – Refer to link: http://dfat.gov.au/missions/index.html
- Provide Min 2 Passport Photos
- Provide a Police Report (This is not mandatory but recommended)
- ID (If cannot supply, they will check system for other means)
- Charged $206 AUD for Lost/Stolen Fee and to have application processed. If client cannot pay, and has insurance they will need to contact the insurance provider for assistance as payment will need to be made before the application is processed.
- Can take up to 48 Hours to process
- Applications need to be filled out online. Visit www.passports.gov.au and submit form online
