Our Cruse policies cover you for the air, land and sea portion of your international journey.
3. Which countries do I take cover for if my cruise is going to multiple places, and departing from an international destination?
You will need to select the coverage that incorporates all the countries you are travelling to. For example, if you are travelling to the USA, you need to choose ‘Worldwide including North & South America’.
5. My cruise is departing a city of Australia and going to the South Pacific, which destination should I choose?
In this scenario, you need to select your destination as ‘Domestic and Pacific’.
2. We are only going on an overnight cruise for part of our journey, do we still need cruise cover?
As per our Policy Wording Documents, if you are travelling on an overnight cruise at any point of your journey, we do require you to have a Cruise policy. This will cover you for the air, land and sea portion of your journey.
4. Does travel insurance cover me for anything that can go wrong on my trip?
Unfortunately not. There are limits and exclusions to all travel insurance policies, so we strongly advise you to read our product disclosure statement (or search [ctrl+F] for key words to check limits and exclusions) to see if our product is right for you.
6. Does Cruise travel insurance provide medical evacuation cover if you have to be repatriated by helicoptered from the ship ?
Yes, our policies provide cover for unlimited hospital, medical and surgical expenses in the event of unforeseen accident, illness or injury. This includes medical repatriation, which means if it is determined medically necessary and reasonable for you to be medically evacuated back to Australia for treatment, you will be covered.
