Travellers to explore Western Australia
A blind British man is heading to Australia after becoming successful in his application for one of the most sought after jobs in the world, The Daily Mail has reported.
57 year old Joe Senior, who has been blind since the age of six, will soon embark on a taxi ride across Western Australia, exploring the beautiful beaches and horizontal waterfalls of Kimberly.
He commented, “I won’t lose out on the visual side as my brother will describe everything for me, but there is nothing like the feel of a place, the silence of a desert, the oppressive tropical heat pushing down on you - it’s amazing.”
Ten other travellers from across the world have also been recruited to embark on similar journeys across other parts of Western Australia, including Perth, Ningaloo Reef and the Margaret River wine region.
It has been dubbed ‘The Best Job in the World Take Two’ after another Brit, Ben Southall, was offered the chance to become caretaker of Hamilton Island last year, beating 34,000 rival applicants from 200 countries in the process.
