New tourism campaign for Australia
Tourism Australia has launched a new advertising campaign to replace the controversial ‘Where the bloody hell are you?’ campaign, The Telegraph has reported.
The tagline ‘There’s nothing like Australia’ will accompany the $150 million campaign, and Australians are being encouraged to take part by submitting photographs and descriptions of their favourite destinations.
Tourism Australia managing director Andrew McEvoy commented, “The catchphrase is true, it’s authentic and we hope it will burn brightly for ten years.”
Although criticised by some for being bland and boring, the new campaign is regarded as a far safer option than its predecessor.
The notorious ‘bloody hell’ advertisements featured bikini-clad models, and caused confusion in many non-English speaking countries, as well as being banned in Canada and Britain.
Australian residents exploring the best of what their country has to offer can benefit from great value travel insurance from InsureandGo.
