India preparing for Commonwealth Games
India is all set to open it’s largest-ever airport terminal ahead of this year’s Commonwealth Games, The Independent has reported.
Costing INR 127 billion, Delhi Indira Gandhi’s new terminal will also be the eighth largest in the world, and capable of handling 34 million passengers a year.
The target time to get passengers from touch-down to exit is 45 minutes, with 89 moving walkways and 48 immigration counters on hand to keep things running smoothly.
The Commonwealth Games will take place in India from October 3rd-14th, with over 100,000 visitors expected to flock to the country for the games.
