Holiday romance on the cards for Aussie women
Many Australian women are proving to be lucky in love while on holiday, news.com.au has reported.
Travel website lastminute.com.au surveyed over 800 female travellers, and found that 40 per cent had indulged in a holiday fling.
15 per cent of those also ended up marrying a partner they had met on holiday, with half going on to have children.
Lastminute.com.au spokeswoman Mia Carter commented, “There has been an increase in the number of Aussie women marrying their holiday sweetheart, which shows that there’s been more on the itinerary than just sightseeing.”
72 per cent of those surveyed also said that they regard travel as an important part of their lives, with 42 per cent even answering that a holiday was more important to them than saving for a deposit on a house.
