Fine dining on offer in Sydney

Sydney is to be rebranded as a fine dining destination following the inclusion of three Sydney chefs on a list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, The Sydney Morning Herald has reported.

The New South Wales government tourism scheme, known as ‘Sydnicity’, will feature television commercials showing some of the city’s high profile chefs enjoying the best of Sydney.

Neil Perry and Matt Moran will both feature in the campaign, while Peter Gilmore, Tetsuya Wakuda and Mark Best were the local chefs named on the awards list.

Jodi McKay, Tourism Minister for New South Wales, commented, “The World’s Best 50 Restaurant awards are a fantastic opportunity to promote Sydney as Australia’s premier dining destination.

“There’s something very special about the diversity of Sydney’s food scene and we want to encourage more people to visit and enjoy the city’s culinary experiences.”
