Budget airline announces new routes
Jetstar has announced that it is to increase services between Australia and New Zealand, the Sydney Morning Herald has reported.
From December 13th 2010, the low fare airline will operate daily direct flights between Auckland and Melbourne.
A direct service between Auckland and Cairns will follow three times a week from April 12th 2011, and there are also plans to boost flight frequency between Auckland and Wellington from October 31st onwards.
Simon Moutter, Auckland Airport’s chief executive, commented, “This announcement is yet another significant boost for New Zealand tourism, providing greater connectivity and choices for travel between Auckland and Australia.”
