Best and worst airlines revealed

A new survey has revealed the airlines Australians most and least like to fly with, The Sydney Morning Herald has reported.

9,000 Choice members were asked to rate international airlines on areas such as cost, in-flight entertainment and seat comfort, and to score them out of 100.

For flights from Australia to the UK, Singapore Airlines came top with a score of 81, while British Airways lagged behind with just 57.

Singapore Airlines also came out on top for flights to many other destinations, including Bali, Singapore and Thailand, while both Jetstar and Qantas scored poorly.

Simon Westaway, spokesman for Jetstar, defended the airline, stating, “We wouldn’t be the fastest growing international airline, operating in and out of Australia, with the record passenger volumes that we’re delivering, if we weren’t providing bang for their buck.”

An unlimited number of international trips can be covered throughout the year with Annual Multi-Trip insurance from InsureandGo.
