Aircruise concept could be ‘future for luxury travel’
According to online news website, News.com.au, luxury travel could be set for a shake-up with the introduction of a concept by British product design company, Seymourpowell.
The Aircruise is a large kite-shaped airship which stands 265 meters tall and flies vertically. Inside, the Aircruise is home to penthouse apartments, classy bars and glass floors, which allow for spectacular views of the world below.
Lifted and powered by natural energy, the Aircruise benefits both its travellers and the environment, with enough space for up to 100 passengers.
Nick Talbot, a design director at Seymourpowell, said “The physics of the airship requires a gigantic volume of lifting gas, yet simultaneously demands a relatively limited amount of weight. This allows for a potentially large amount of space with relatively few people onboard – a luxury for any traveller!”
Whilst the Aircruise is currently only a concept, there are plenty of ways to travel in luxury available. Whether you’re going on a cruise or staying in plush hotels abroad, make sure you purchase travel insurance for peace of mind.
